Another relatively old layout I made once for personal use. I actually like the colors, and despite the widgets of the sidebar being different between themselves, they are relatively aligned and not as messy as in several previous layouts I made that, so I guess I can consider this a transition phase. It was not responsive, however, and has still several old-school styles.
That said, one of the purposes of this blog is to show how my skills evolved, so I'm not shying away of displaying how I started. But looking at this, I also realize that, while my skills evolved, my creativity... not so much. Especially now that minimalism is so valued, I feel like there is less freedom for people to mess around. If some of the ideas I had for this layout were more polished or better executed, the result might have been better. That's one of the reasons why I applaud people who are still going strong with old blogs and continue creating "old-school" templates for their personal corner of the web.
